On 27 February 2026, Afcott Vietnam Co. Ltd. inaugurated a new cashew processing plant in Long An Province, with cashew machines from Cashew Machines Vietnam (CMV) supporting the facility. This marks an important step as the company launches its first processing operation outside Africa.
Since 2019, Afcott Vietnam has been active in facilitating the trade of raw cashew nuts from Africa to Vietnam. Moving into processing, however, required a different approach. Instead of focusing only on sourcing and logistics, the company needed to build a stable production setup that could support consistent output and product quality.
For a new processing plant, equipment selection plays a key role. The system needs to be reliable in daily operation, easy to manage, and suitable for the actual production scale. At the same time, the setup should avoid unnecessary complexity that could affect efficiency over time.

The new facility in Long An is now in operation, supporting efficient cashew processing and more consistent product quality. It also allows Afcott to move further along the value chain, from trading raw cashew nuts to developing its own processing capabilities in Vietnam.
This project reflects a broader trend in the industry. Vietnam continues to be one of the world’s leading cashew processing hubs, and more companies are investing in local processing to create higher value products. As competition increases, the need for reliable equipment and well-planned production systems becomes even more important.
