Export price of cashew nuts increased sharply

The average export price of cashew nuts in the first 15 days of August increased again, reaching more than 10,000 USD/ton.

In the first 15 days of August 2018, the average export price of cashew nuts reached US$10,015/ton, up 12.6% compared to the first 15 days of July 2018, compared to the first 15 days of August 2017, an increase of 18.3 %.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade, citing statistics from the General Department of Customs, said that in the first 15 days of August 2018, cashew nut exports reached 17.4 thousand tons, worth $174.88 million, up 30.2% in volume and increased by 46.7% in value compared to the first 15 days of July 2018, compared to the first 15 days of August 2017, increased by 16.3% in volume and increased by 37.6% in value.

Accumulated from the beginning of the year to August 15, 2018, cashew nut exports reached 204.8 thousand tons, worth USD 2.02 billion, down 8.1% in volume and 4.4% in value over the same period. term 2017.

It is known that in July 2018, cashew nut exports reached 32.7 thousand tons, worth 286.64 million USD, marking an increase of 1.3% in volume but a decrease of 2.2% in value compared to June 2018. Compared to the same period in 2017, this represented a drop of 10.6% in volume and 24.3% in value. Accumulated in the first 7 months of 2018, cashew nut exports totaled 207.6 thousand tons, valued at 1.98 billion USD, reflecting an increase of 10.8% in volume and 7.5% in value compared to the same period in 2017.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the first 15 days of August, the average export price of cashew nuts reached 10,015 USD per ton, up 12.6% compared to the first 15 days of July 2018, and up 18.3% compared to the same period in August 2017. From the beginning of the year until mid-August 2018, the average export price of cashew nuts stood at 9,859 USD per ton, representing an increase of 4% over the same timeframe in 2017, highlighting steady market performance.

In July 2018, the average export price of cashew nuts to the Singapore market increased sharply by 18.6% compared to June 2018, while the average export price of cashew nuts to the markets of Hong Kong and Belgium increased slightly. ,first%. On the other hand, the average export price of cashew nuts to other markets decreased, including Japan (-0.5%); France (-8.6%); Taiwan (-6.9%); Germany (-5.5%).
